3. How we use your information and our legal bases
We use the information above only for the purposes listed in section 2. Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EEA and UK), we rely on:
- Legitimate interests in operating a secure website and responding to people who contact us;
- Performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before one, when you contact us about a business matter;
- Legal obligations, when we must keep or disclose information by law.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Site and our business, under their own privacy terms:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Site and protects it against attacks (privacy policy);
- Google, which provides the Site's fonts through Google Fonts and may provide our email services (privacy policy).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5. International transfers
Idmod Labs is a US company and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. How long we keep data
- Emails: for as long as needed to handle your request, and afterwards as long as reasonably needed for our records or as required by law.
- Hosting and security logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period according to its own retention policy.
7. Cookies
We do not set cookies on the Site. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to detect malicious traffic. These do not track you across websites.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil, Argentina, California and other US states), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, email privacy@idmodlabs.com. We will respond within the time required by law, usually 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In Argentina, that is the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública (AAIP).
9. Security
The Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), and we limit who can access the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
